No Xylophones!

Bryan Lee O'Malley just did a post on his blog revealing the songs on the Scott Pilgrim movie soundtrack. The list makes me V E R Y happy; I was worried that producers would want to go for the more xylophone-rock tinged stuff that seems to be the popular Hollywood shorthand for "hip music for kids" these days (check out the soundtrack to "Nick and Nora's Infinite Playlist" to see what I mean). Instead, it's a wonderful selection of little gems from the 90s and early 2000s. This makes me happy not just because I am a little worried about how Scott Pilgrim is going to transfer to the big screen, but also because of how much I absolutely detest xylophone rock.
